1. Right click on your wireless network connection (either in the system tray or in Control Panel → Internet Connections) and select “View Available Wireless Networks”

2. Click on the “Change Advanced Settings” link.

3. Select the “Wireless Networks” tab

4. Click “Add” and enter UVU-Secure in the SSID field, choose “WPA” for Network Authentication and “AES” for the Data Encryption Field.

5. On the “Authentication” tab choose “PEAP” as the EAP type and uncheck all boxes

6. On the “Properties” button and uncheck “Validate server certificate” box, check the “Enable Fast Reconnect” box and click on the “Configure” button and uncheck “Automatically use my Windows ...password.

7. Click “OK” three times

8. When prompted enter your UV ID in the User name field and you PIN in the password field and click “OK”

1. Right click on your network connection icon in the system tray or in Click on “Network and Sharing Center”

2. Click on “Manage wireless networks” then click “Add”

3. Click on “Manually create a network Profile”

4. Enter “UVU-Secure” in the Network name field.

             Choose “802.1x” for the Security type

             Check both boxes: “Start this connection …” and

             “Connect even when … not broadcasting”

             Click “Next”

5.          Click on “Change connection settings”

6.          On the “Connections” tab click the first and third box              “Connect automatically…” and “Connect … when not              broadcasting”

7.          On the “Security” tab click the “Setting” button and uncheck              “Validate server certificate” then click the “Configure” button              and uncheck “Automatically use my Windows ...password”

9. Click “OK”, “OK”, and “Connect”

10. Click on the bubble that says “Additional information is required to connect to UVU-Secure”

11. Enter your UV ID in the User name field and you PIN in the password field and click “OK”

Secure Encrypted Wireless Network for Student/Faculty/Staff

A network built with the security and privacy of your information in mind.  All information coming from and to your machine is encrypted to prevent unauthorized viewing.  Authentication and posture assessment performed by Cisco Clean Access. 

Click here to allow the Auto-Connect wizard to connect you to the UVU-Secure network.

1. Click on the Apple Airport and select “Other”

2. Enter “UVU-Secure” in the Network Name field and select 802.1x for Wireless Security

3. Enter your UV ID in the User Name field and your password in the Password field and click “OK”

4. Click the “Show Certificate” button when asked to verify the certificate

5. Check the box that says “Always trust these certificates” then click “Continue”

6. The airport icon in the upper right corner of the screen will verify connectivity.

7. When you open a browser your page will be redirected to the login screen.  Login with your UV ID and password.
